Southern Food

Hi there, welcome back! :)

If you are new here, thank you for stopping by!

In this blog, I will be sharing my journey about literary anything that happened in my life!

and for today's topic, I will be talking about southern food! Yay!

Let me just review why I am talking about southern food.

it's because I lived in Georgia, the U.S. when I was in high school.

Where is it, you asked?

So the place I went is called, Fort Valley and it was 2-3 hours away from Atlanta.

Even though I struggled with learning English because of their thick accent,

I managed to survive because of their delicious food! haha

Here are some of my favorite food :)

1. Chicken & Dumplings

This is what my host mother used to cook often, she prepares them in a hot pot and cooks them for hours and it was very creamy and tasty!!

2. Classic Fried Chicken

Of course! It's the CHICKEN !!!
Probably the best fried chicken I have ever tasted..!!
Probably the buttermilk is the key...but no matter how many I tried I can't make it as the same I tasted in Georgia!

3. Broccoli Casserole

Omg yum yum yum....!!!
Every Thanksgiving, Christmas...I will stuff this in my stomach until I feel bloated!
At first, when I saw the cornflakes on the top, I was like "umm what...?" because I only ate cornflakes with milk so I had never thought of adding it to a dish! but wow, now it is my favorite.

I have many other foods I want to introduce to you but this is it for today! :)
But I am hungry now so I gotta go.

Thanks for reading & see you in the next blog!
