TABARNAK!!

Hey guys!

Welcome or welcome back :)

I am here to write another random thing about Montreal todayyy

So the winter here is CRAZY

well not everyone thinks that...but at least I think it is crazy haha

The coldest day we had this year was -40 degrees!!

Isn't that insane?!

There was one video on Instagram where the guy was struggling with starting a car,

because you know its -40 so you could imagine..

everything gonna be frozen lol

Wanna see what it looks like?

YEP

It is really hard haha

So you have to warm up the car at least 30 mins before leaving the house otherwise you will be late !!!

As you can imagine how stressful it is,

the guy in the video was saying "Quebecois" words so let me share with you what I learned haha

1. Tabarnak!!

Tabarnak is a phonetic rendition of the term “tabernacle”, which refers to the ornamented box in which Communion hosts and wine are kept. In Quebec, it has become a very popular swear word used to express anger, annoyance or surprise.

So yeah, this is the first word I learned haha

I still say it just to make people laugh haha

TABARNAK!!

2. Criss or Crisse

A diminutive of Christ, criss (sometimes written crisse) is an immensely satisfying and versatile expletive commonly used as a way to amplify a negative emotion. Think of it this way: criss is to Quebecers what the F-word is to English speakers.

ummmm I dont remember others so i am gonna stop right here haha

But anyway,

stay warm guys. see you in the next blogggg

byeeee :)
